Interprovincial Hurling Final/Munster 1-21 Leinster 2-14: Munster pulled off a four-point victory over Leinster in yesterday's final, played before an impressive crowd of around 3,000 at the Aidan McAnespies club - about an hour outside of Boston in the suburb of Canton.

Leinster were in fact dominant for long periods and enjoyed an advantage on the scoreboard up until the closing stages. Although the teams exchanged points early on, Leinster were up six points in the middle of the second half.

But Munster managed to turn the game - scoring a goal and a point in the last minute and a half of the exciting contest. Limerick's Ollie Moran provided the crucial goal.

Wexford's Darragh Ryan put in a strong display in the Leinster defence, with James Young of Laois showing well at midfield. Eddie Brennan was in fine form, scoring a first-half goal.

Cork's John Gardiner played up to his usual standards, with team-mate Ben O'Connor also contributing to the scoreboard. Clare's Niall Gilligan and Tipp's Micheál Webster added several more.
