Dromard 0-12 Moorefield 0-12 AET - 0-9 to 0-9 after normal timeDespite suffering a severe setback when chief marksman Francis McGee was sent-off early in the second half with Moorefield leading by 0-5 to 0-3, Dromard refused to accept defeat and for the second week running a draw was the result after extra-time in this cracking quarter-final replay at Pearse Park.

After losing full-forward McGee for a second yellow card offence, Dromard appeared to be in deep trouble but they battled straight back with two terrific points from their other key attacker, Jamsie Martin, and from there until the end of normal time it was a ding-dong affair.

Even the Longford goalkeeper Damien Sheridan got in on the scoring act as he converted a 45 but when Moorefield regained the lead with a point from substitute Michael Tracey in the 56th minute the Leinster champions looked to have done enough to earn a home semi-final tie against Westmeath's Tyrrellspass.

However, Dromard snatched a deserved draw in the second minute of stoppage time when Martin fired over a wonderful free from 55 yards out and it was looking good for the Longford champions when they dominated the opening minutes of the extra-time period to clock up three more points in quick succession from Enda McEntire, Martin and Cian Mimnagh.
