Leinster MFC Replay/Offaly 0-10 Westmeath 0-9: Offaly minors gained some revenge for the defeat of their seniors when they pipped Westmeath in this Leinster first-round replay in Tullamore last night.
Westmeath, playing with the wind, wasted early scoring opportunities and were reduced to 14 men by the dismissal of wing back Ronan Foley. Offaly led 0-4 to 0-3 at half-time.
Offaly had James Rafferty sent off in the second half, but finished the stronger with late points by Gerry Treacy, Rory Connor and Thomas Coughlan.
