O'Brien and jockey Michael Kinane have combined once already to score in the 10-furlong York highlight. Giant's Causeway edged out Kalanisi in a thriller in 2000.

Other possible starters at York from Ballydoyle are the Newbury winner Grand Reward in the Gimcrack, L'ancresse in the Yorkshire Oaks and Brian Boru and Powerscourt in the Great Voltigeur.
