Len Lungo's horses have recently hit form and the Carrutherstown trainer can strike with Mike Stan in the Portobello Chase at Musselburgh today. This promising individual showed progressive form last season and won his final three starts in good style. The eight-year-old was particularly impressive at Ayr in April when he jumped well to slam Carmel's Joy and subsequent Punchestown winner Jocks Cross by 17 lengths and one and a half lengths.

He reappeared in a handicap hurdle at Newcastle last month when, looking in need of the race, he ran well until weakening approaching three out to finish sixth, beaten around 18 lengths behind Tashreef.

Mike Stan, who will strip a lot fitter, reverts to fences today and is made the nap selection. Nicky Richards' useful performer Jessolle is back over fences in the Glengoyne Highland Novices' Chase after a successful spell over hurdles. The grey mare has won two of her six starts since her last steeplechase and put up a good display to win at Haydock Park last month.

Jessolle remains open to improvement and can get off the mark over the larger obstacles in this two-and-a-half-mile contest.
