Connacht SHC Round One/St Mary's 1-13 Tubbercurry 1-8: A cracking 15th-minute goal by Stephen McManus set St Mary's up for a deserved four-point win over Tubbercurry at Kilcoyne Park, Tubbercurry, yesterday.

Donal O'Grady opened the Leitrim champions account after a minute of the first half before Mark Burke levelled for the Sligo side.

McManus's goal put the Saints five points ahead and the Carrick-on-Shannon side were never headed as they led by 1-7 to 0-6 at half time.

A Ray Kilcoyne goal 11 minutes into the second half cut the deficit to two points but the visitors were always in control and never looked like losing.
