Under-21 Hurling Leinster Championship: Dublin Under-21 2-12 Kildare Under-21 2-7:There were mixed fortunes for Dublin in Clane last night with Alan McCrabbe hitting two goals in this Leinster under-21 quarter-final.

But Shane O'Rorke and Peter Callaghan picked up injuries.

Kildare had matched their opponents early on, with a wonderful sideline cut from Cillian Mac Suibhne levelling proceedings at 0-2 each.

Eoin Fitzpatrick then got the first goal to put the home side in front.

But in seconds an angled shot from Dublin's Ross O'Carroll was scrambled over the line by McCrabbe.

Kildare, despite some erratic shooting after the break, managed to cut the gap to 1-8 to 1-6 through a Conor Ryan goal. But a reshaped Dublin then struck within a minute with McCrabbe connecting with O'Carroll's high ball for his second.
