MALONE were forced to fight all the way against a determined Queen's side in the second semi-final before winning by 13-6.

Queen's speed, fluency and adventurous style caused Malone severe problems in the first half even though the Gibson Park side streaked into a second minute lead with a Neil Doak penalty. Barry Hall brought the sides level from a penalty and the students maintained their momentum when Hall landed a second penalty to give his side a 6-3 advantage.
