1995

March 12th: Mother Phyllis died. Maguire missed eight days' racing - including the Cheltenham Festival

April 17th: Broke right arm when unseated from Desert Fighter at Hereford. Had been level with Richard Dunwoody in the jockeys' championship at the time. Unable to resume until August.

September 20th: Suffered arm injury in fall on Take Two at Perth. Sidelined for two days.

November 17th: Cracked bone in lower left leg when Hatcham Boy fell on the bend approaching the second-last flight at Ascot. Missed ride on Hennessy winner Couldnt Be Better as a result.

1996

January 23rd: Suffered knee injury in a fall on Boss's Bank at Leicester. Sidelined for 10 days.

March 1st: Broke a collar-bone in a fall on Smiling Chief at Newbury. He misses the Cheltenham Festival for the second year running and is out until July.

1997

February 25th: Taken to hospital with a broken arm following a fall from Foxwoods Valley at Leicester. Misses Cheltenham again and is out of action until late June.

December 6th: Fractured radius in the right arm after fall from Mulligan at Sandown. Out for two weeks.

December 27th: Sustained wrist injury in fall from Hurricane Lamp at Kempton. On the sidelines for seven weeks.

1998

March 19th: Sustained a broken left collar-bone and concussion after a fall from Zabadi in the Grand Annual Chase at the Cheltenham Festival. Out of action for three and a half weeks.

April 28th: Sustained another broken left collar-bone in a fall from Better Offer in the Royal Ascot Cricket Club Novices' Hurdle at Ascot. Sidelined for five and a half weeks.

June 6th: On first day back from injury at Newton Abbot, Maguire rides winner in first race before picking up a 10-day ban for intentional interference aboard Synieyourmissed.
