Adrian Maguire has decided not to appeal after picking up a three-day whip ban for his ride on second placed Ardrina in a novices' chase at Kelso on Wednesday.

The Meathman, paying a rare visit to the Borders track, was found guilty of using his whip with excessive frequency from the third last and was suspended for November 20th, 21st and 23rd.

Meanwhile, Conor O'Dwyer has had a 21-day suspension reduced to 18 days following an appeal to the stewards of the Irish Turf Club. O'Dwyer was suspended on November 1st by the stewards at Punchestown who concluded that O'Dwyer had not allowed That's Fine By Me to run on its merits when finishing third in the INH Stallion Owners Novice Hurdle.

The reduction of the suspension by three race days means that O'Dwyer can now ride on the last two days of the Leopardstown Christmas festival. The new ban will now run from today to December 27th.
