National Football League/ Longford 0-12 Fermanagh 0-10: Luke Dempsey's new look Longford side went top of the Division Division Two A when they came from behind to beat Fermanagh in this re-fixed game at Pearse Park .

Fermanagh were the better team in the first half and were four points clear approaching the break. The home side managed to keep in touch with two Padraic Davis points.

Longford trailed by just 0-8 to 0-6 at the break, and they went on to dominate the exchanges in the second half. They got back on level terms following points from Davis and Trevor Smullen.

When Fermanagh went back in front with scores from Tom Brewster and Seán Burns, they looked like holding out for the win. But Longford grew in confidence and points from Kevin Mulligan and Niall Sheridan left the sides all square.

Then came the turning point in the 61st minute when Fermanagh failed to convert a penalty after Colm Bradley's kick was saved by Damian Sheridan. Longford finished the stronger with points from Jamsie Martin and Davis earning them victory.
