Love this. Brazilian second division club Iraty's new star striker goes by the name of . . . Creedence Clearwater. No kiddin'. It seems young Creedence's Da saw a Bad Moon Rising the day his son was to be baptised and, so, named him after his favourite hairy Californian band, Creedence Clearwater Revival. Bizarrely young Creedence isn't bitter - "I think he chose my name very well," - although, as Onefootball.com put it, it's a name that defies belief.
