Women's Football/ Laois 2-12 Kildare 0-9: The dual strikeforce of Mary Kirwan and Tracy Lawlor proved too much for Kildare in the final round of the Leinster SFC round robin series, a combined tally of 2-8 helping to propel Laois to victory over their neighbours at Leixlip on Saturday.

Pat Critchley's side secured the victory in the first half, capitalising on a number of defensive errors to storm into a 2-7 to 0-3 interval lead, with Lawlor and Kirwan raising the green flags.

Kildare's defence wasn't breached after the resumption and the excellent Aisling Jennings and Elaine Dillon caused plenty of problems for the Laois rearguard, but the visitors always had too much in hand and the result was never in doubt.
