Minor Football Leinster Quarter-finals/Laois 3-10 Longford 0-8: The reigning Leinster champions, Laois, advanced to the semi-finals on Saturday when they easily overcame the challenge of Longford in Killoe.

Seán O'Shea and Shane O'Neill were in fine form for the visitors, who dominated the first half and were well on the road to victory when leading 1-8 to 0-2 at half-time, Jack Fennell having shot to the net in the 18th minute.

O'Shea kicked three excellent points, and O'Neill teamed up with Cathal Óg Green to give Laois a decisive edge at centrefield, where Longford struggled.

Laois added a further 2-2 to their tally in the second half, Stephen O'Leary and Green scoring the goals.
