Bray Wanderers 0 Drogheda Utd 1: BRIAN King deservedly earned bottom-of-the-table Drogheda their first win of the season as Bray finished with 10 men.

An uneventful opening half hour was ended as Drogheda struck for what proved to be the game's only goal after 31 minutes.

Robbie Clarke and substitute Dave O'Connor worked the ball into Jamie Duffy and though the striker miscued his shot, the ball ran for midfielder King at the far post and he calmly side-footed home.

Paddy Kavanagh was inches over the top with a well-worked direct free-kick as Bray upped their game on the resumption before Drogheda goalkeeper Steve Williams made a good save with his feet to deny Jake Kelly.

Drogheda dug in over the final 20 minutes as Bray poured forward with Dane Massey, forcing a superb save from Williams with a terrific 83rd minute strike.
