Kilkenny CBS 1-14 Good Counsel 0-9:Kilkenny CBS scored at the double when winning this semi-final in Thomastown on Saturday. The game doubled as the Leinster League final, so the CBS won that title and also reached the provincial final against St Kieran's.

The scores were level three times during the opening half. The CBS led by 1-6 to 0-6 at half-time, thanks to 23rd-minute goal by Luke Scanlon.

While Good Counsel had the opening score of the second half from John Walsh, they wasted valuable chances and Good Counsel began to lose touch during the third quarter when they fell 0-7 to 1-10 behind.
