Under-21 Football Championship/Laois 2-12 Westmeath 0-8: Laois qualified for their 10th provincial final with a one-sided victory over Westmeath at Portlaoise on Saturday. The opening half produced the best football, with a great goal by Colm Kelly from Stradbally giving Laois a half-time lead of 1-5 to 0-6.

Westmeath's Paul Martin scored four of his side's points.

Laois stretched their advantage early in the second half and after Colm Kelly missed a penalty Michael Tierney pulled first time on the ground two minutes later to score his side's second goal.
