This All-Ireland B football semi-final at Breffni Park yesterday was a thrilling affair and produced tension and excitement which put the A game in the shade. It was a draw at the end of normal time and again at the end of 30 minutes of extra time. The eagerly awaited replay takes place at the same venue on Wednesday (6.30).

Two early goals from Chris Brannigan and Dan Gordon helped St Patrick's to a 2-0 to 0-4 lead at half-time.

The second half produced a deluge of scores as John Gibney scored a third goal for Downpatrick.

Two penalties from Jarleth Egan and a point in the closing seconds of extra time earned St Joseph's a deserved draw.
