EQUESTRIAN:IRELAND HAVE been drawn third of the eight teams competing in today's Nations' Cup at Wellington, Florida, which gets under way at 6.30pm local time.

Horse Sport Ireland’s (HSI) show jumping team manager Robert Splaine yesterday named his selection for this first Nations’ Cup of the season, his US-based quartet comprising Shane Sweetnam (Amaretto d’Arco), Richie Moloney (Triviant), Kevin Babington (Souvenir) and Darragh Kerins (Night Train).

At home, the HSI/Guidam Spring Tour heads to Cavan Equestrian Centre for the second leg in the series, and Sunday’s 55-runner start list includes last weekend’s successful combination of Conor Drain and Shanroe Penny.

The 2008 Tour winner, Tholm Keane, has entered two horses for tenor Ronan Tynan, while others in a strong line-up include last year’s premier series champion Conor Swail and former world champion Dermott Lennon.
