A BRILLIANT last round of 68 hauled Waterville's Liam Higgins - up the field and into a share of seventh place in the £75,000 De Vere's Hotels Seniors Classic at Belton Woods, Lincolnshire, yesterday, earning him a cheque for £3,110.

Former Italian World Cup player Renato Campganoli, the overnight leader, held off strong challenges from ex Ryder Cup players Tommy Horton, whose last round of 67 was the best of the tournaments, and Spain's Antonio Qarrido.
