Golf:Pádraig Harrington's chances of making the cut at the FedEx St Jude Classic in Memphis suffered a blow after a second round 72 to be just outside the projected cut mark.

The triple major winner, making his first start after an injury lay-off and one week ahead of the US Open, had a mixed bag at the TPC Southwind venue in Tennessee.

Four bogeys and two birdies added up to his two-over round and will now have to wait to see if his 142 aggregate is good enough to scrape into the weekend. The projected cut mark has moved to three-over.

Sweden's Robert Karlsson leads the way on nine-under after blazing through the field with today's 65. He leads by three from American Colt Knost and two from Kris Blanks.
