How they got here: An unlikely away victory over Spain earned top spot in Group 6 and automatic qualification. Overall record was six wins and two defeats in a group that included the Ukraine, Armenia and Northern Ireland.

Manager: Otto Rehhagel

Star turn: Roma centre back Traianos Dellas typifies the determination of the Greeks to keep opponents at bay. The 26-year-old was a major contributor to the team's 18-month unbeaten run which ended in March. An effective marker, Dellas is strong in the air and reads the game well.

Prospects: Hard to beat with a tight, defensive style that frustrates opponents and often leaves them vulnerable to counter attacks. Record of just four wins in 24 meetings with their various Group A rivals does not inspire confidence.
