RACING: A total of 15 horses were left in Saturday's King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Diamonds Stakes at yesterday's five-day declaration stage. There were no surprise withdrawals from the Ascot showpiece and the field is set to be headed by the Godolphin duo of Sakhee and Grandera.

The Dubai outfit also have Narrative in the mile and a half contest while Aidan O'Brien is another with multiple entries in Bach and Della Francesca.

Marcus Tregoning and Mark Johnston could both be double-handed with Nayef and Sir Effendi and Zindabad and Sir George Turner left in the race respectively.

Michael Stoute runs last year's 2000 Guineas winner Golan, who is set to be partnered by Kieren Fallon, while the Continental challenge includes Peter Schiergen's Boreal and Aquarelliste from the Elie Lellouche yard.

The field for the £750,000 midsummer highlight is completed by Henry Cecil's High Pitched, the John Dunlop-trained Millenary and Storming Home from the Barry Hills yard.

Sakhee, winner of last year's Juddmonte International and the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, is as low as 5 to 4 favourite with William Hill and is 13 to 8 with Coral. His stablemate Grandera is 15 to 8 with both firms after impressing with wins in the Singapore Airlines International Cup at Kranji in May and the Prince of Wales Stakes at Royal Ascot last month.
