Go for Kodabad

Saturday's demotion as an attractive fixture date appears to be continuing apace with Wexford hosting a very average card this afternoon. However the message has to be that a winner is a winner whatever the circumstances and Willie Mullins and Edward O'Grady may well be able to provide four between them.

Mullins runs two in the two-mile maiden hurdle and although Native Marsh ran a decent third to Kilmore Lady in a Galway bumper, preference has to be for the stable companion Kodabad.

This one was also third at Galway, behind Colins Double, in a maiden that could turn out to be quite informative. David Casey takes the mount with Ruby Walsh suspended and Kodabad should be hard to beat.

Tryphaena was a Mullins winner at Galway and this horse looked to have enough in the tank to follow up in the Slaney Handicap while Mullins's brother Tony could provide the solution to the bumper in the shape of Jurida, who ran Watchowillie to nine lengths at Ballybrit.

O'Grady looks the man to side with in the first two contests.

Country Flavour has the assistance of Mick Murphy in the Opportunity Hurdle and that could count in his favour over Beacon Lane while the Colins Double form at Galway will also be tested by Line Your Pockets in the two and a half mile maiden hurdle.
