THREE GOALS in the opening six minutes sent NUIG on their way to a facile, 29-point victory at Dangan.

Corner forward Peter O’Brien, who finished with 2-5 from play, got two of those goals after Caimin Morey struck for the first in just over a minute.

Garda’s midfield pair of Cork’s Mark Harrington and Tipperary’s Conor O’Brien never got going, though Harrington struck a couple of points in the third quarter.

Seán Glynn was at the end of an excellent move involving Morey and O’Brien to score a fourth goal for NUIG after 20 minutes.
