Championship 2014: Kerry

Manager: Eamonn Fitzmaurice (2nd year).Titles: 72 Munster (holders); 36 All-Irelands (2009).2014 league: Recovered from bad start to finish fifth in Division One.Odds and Ends: All-Ireland 9/1 and Munster 11/8.Bookies say: Munster final and All-Ireland semi-final. What the bookies said in 2013: Munster champions and All-Ireland runners-up. 2013 championship: Munster champions and lost All-Ireland semi-final to Dublin 3-11 to 3-18.First outing: v Clare/Waterford, June 21st/22nd.

Eamonn Fitzmaurice’s rebuilding plans were shaken when Colm Cooper ruptured his cruciate in February. Former players of the year Tomás Ó Sé and Paul Galvin have retired but Kerry still have quality players and relative newcomer and All-Star James O’Donoghue was one of the top five scorers in the league with 5-24. Maybe All-Ireland is unlikely but they’ll have a big say.

Last good day: Brilliant semi-final defeat against Dublin last year.
