McGee comes to the rescue

Sligo 0-13 GMIT 1-10:SUBSTITUTE COLM McGee's stoppage-time point rescued Sligo at Enniscrone yesterday.

GMIT, who trailed by three points at the interval, were right back in the game 10 minutes into the second half when a long-range shot by Paul Conroy struck the bar and a post before ending up in the back of the Sligo net.

The college side staged a spirited late rally with points by Aidan Campbell and a Paul Conroy effort edging them ahead and looking to be on course for victory before McGee came to Sligo’s rescue on 63 minutes after coming off the bench.
