Kerry SFC Final/ Feale Rangers 1-4 South Kerry 0-6: Feale Rangers ended South Kerry's reign as they bridged a 27-year gap to win the Kerry title for the first time since 1980.

Feale captain Eamon Fitzmaurice scored a glorious late winning point to snatch victory.

Rangers dominated in the first half and led 1-3 to 0-2 at the interval. Ronan Hussey tapped over an early free for South Kerry but this was quickly cancelled out by Noel Kennelly, son of the legendary late Tim. The game's vital score came in the eighth minute

Paul Galvin's diagonal ball was flicked on by Anthony Maher into the path of Brian Scanlon, who fired home. Bryan Sheehan added another free for South Kerry but then Derek Galvin and Brian Scanlon added good points for Feale before the break.

South Kerry fought back in the second half. Sheehan from two frees and Kerry fitness trainer John Sugrue from play reduced Rangers' lead to a point. Ronan Hussey's pointed free drew South Kerry level but Fitzmaurice's effort from 50 metres secured the title for his team and the Kerry captaincy for his brother-in-law, Paul Galvin, in 2008.
