On Diarmuid O'Sullivan..

On Diarmuid O'Sullivan. . . Another of the younger members of this Cork squad, but he's certainly a great prospect for the future. At under-21 level, he's already shown himself to be a very good full back and I believe he will only get better in the next few years. What has impressed me most about him this season is his ability to come out at speed and strike a very good ball at pace. He is very much the modern day full back, one that is mobile, agile and with a very good wrist. If there is a weakness then he hasn't showed it yet and I think his greatest strength is his speed.

On Henry Shefflin. . . Also very mobile for his height with tremendous ability and skill. Like O'Sullivan, it's going to be a big step to come into the All-Ireland final at such a young age. So much of his game will depend on how the ball breaks and whether O'Sullivan will be able to get out first and stop it. Displays plenty of intelligence on the field as well as a very good work-rate. He may be taking a lot of the frees also so that will be an extra burden but he has performed very well up to now. He started a little slow against Offaly and then came into his own in the last quarter of an hour. Both players are fast and skilful and there are so many things that can go on between the two. Overall though, I can see things breaking very even between them.
