Matt Elliott celebrated the first anniversary since joining Leicester by putting speculation linking him with a move to Liverpool firmly to the back of his mind.
However, there is no doubt that Elliott will quickly secure more admirers than just Liverpool manager Roy Evans if he continues in the same form.
On Saturday he was the rock on which Liverpool floundered and seldom can Michael Owen and Robbie Fowler have received such small change from a game in terms of the chances that came their way.
Owen had just about his first whiff of a chance mid-way through the second half when he cut menacingly into the penalty area before he denied by a tackle from Elliott.
However, the 28-year-old player has also that knack of being a threat at the other end of the pitch and he had two of the best chances in a game of limited excitement.
"It's been an amazing year," said Elliott. "Different things are happening which I find unbelievable and the fact I have been mentioned in terms of Liverpool is an honour. A few people mention it - but I try not to let it affect me."
Leicester were full value for a share of the spoils which took them to the 30 point mark for the season, although they have now gone seven Premiership matches without a victory.
