Drogheda U 1 Dundalk 3:DUNDALK WENT joint top of the Premier Division with this facile victory over neighbours Drogheda, their first at United Park in 10 years.

The home side gifted the opening two goals to the visitors early on in the game with a display of defending that can best be described as awful.

Dundalk killed the game off with just over 20 minutes to go but in truth they should have been way out of sight at that stage.

With just two minutes on the watch Dundalk hit the front when Ross Gaynor’s corner picked out the unmarked Gary Breen who guided his header to the net.

Drogheda nicked a consolation goal four minutes from time when Paul Crowley’s shot deflected off Liam Burns.
