All-Ireland JH Club: Ballinhassig of Cork won the first ever All Ireland Junior Club Hurling title when easily beating Kilkenny champions Blacks and Whites at Walsh Park in Waterford yesterday.

The match was as good as over as a contest as early as the 14th minute after Diarmuid Duggan found the net twice within 60 seconds to put the winners 3-2 to 0-1 ahead.

Tadgh Coleman had scored the first goal nine minutes into the game and it was 3-9 to 0-2 at the interval.

Duggan completed his hat-trick four minutes from time and the only Blacks and Whites goal came from a Michael Ryan penalty in the second half.
