Minor Football Leinster Quarter-finals/Dublin 1-15 Wexford 3-6: Dublin made hard work of it at Parnell Park on Saturday afternoon, as Wexford's late comeback bid came up just short.

Dublin dominated large spells of the opening period but missed several chances and led by just 0-5 to 0-3 as the half entered its closing stages.

A goal from each team just before the break brought the game explosively to life, however.

Shane Cadogan gave Wexford the lead from a tough angle; Tomás Brady replied a minute later when put through by a long ball from the influential Dermot Connolly.

Dublin then went on to score seven of the first nine points after the break, but a punched Ben Brosnan effort and a penalty from Shane Roche put Wexford right back in the game.

Despite late pressure, Dublin hung on for the win, substitute Shane Durkin getting the final point of the game in injury time.
