Dodgy refereeing

We're beginning to get very fond of South American refs, feisty auld divils that they are. Take Brazilian Carlos Eugenio Simon, for example. He was furiously confronted by Gremio goalkeeper Danrlei after he awarded a dodgy penalty to the opposition. Did Simon calmly wave Danrlei away, as refs do? No. He asked: "How's Palinha doing?" Who's Palinha? He's the footballer with whom Danrlei's wife now lives, having left him recently. Whooah.
