How they got here: Topped a group that included Norway, Romania, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Luxembourg. Highlight was a 5-2 win in Bucharest, followed by a 2-0 defeat at home to the Bosnians.

Manager: Morten Olsen

Star turn: A consistent scorer for both Milan and Denmark, Jon Dahl Tomasson will be the main threat for the Danes when they press forward. A talented striker who is most effective from a slightly withdrawn position, the 27-year-old should make an impact against the group's two weaker sides.

Prospects: With one place in the quarter-finals apparently up for grabs in Group C the Danes may have enough attacking talent to progress, although they would be seen as a soft touch for the Group D team facing them in the last eight.
