Cork City - 1 Drogheda Utd - 0 This match will be remembered only because it marked the last appearance in the National League of one of Cork City's most loyal players, centre-back Declan Daly.

Daly was introduced for the first time in this season's Eircom League just five minutes before the final whistle and he was given a guard-of-honour by his colleagues and a warm tribute by the fans at full-time.

His appearance marked a 356th appearance for Cork in a career stretching back almost 20 years.

Cork deserved to finish their season on a winning note even if the contest was unremarkable. Their seventh win at Turner's Cross this season ensured they finished third in the table and qualified for the InterToto Cup.
