Cavan 0-18 Wicklow 0-10:Cavan achieved their first win in Division Two B of the National Football League at Kingspan Breffni Park on Saturday but they made hard work of this victory.

They made an impressive start and led by 0-5 to 0-0 after 20 minutes, 18-year-old Ray Cullivan scoring three of the points.

While Wicklow's opening score didn't arrive until the 29th minute, John Slattery pointing, the visitors still went in level at half-time, 0-6 each.

Within seven minutes of the second half, however, Cavan were five points clear again, 0-11 to 0-6. Again, Wicklow fought back, three points from Tommy Gill leaving just two between the sides with 10 minutes left.

But Cavan added five more without reply in the last six minutes, including two from former Fermanagh star Rory Gallagher.
