Crosshaven earn replay

In a tense game at Newtown, the home side fell 12-0 behind but scored 15 points in the second period before a last-minute Crosshaven penalty forced a replay.

Bobby Rogers went over for a Crosshaven try after only two minutes, Damien Walsh added the conversion, and just before the break replacement Bernie Kelleher had a second try. In the second half, Newtown had tries from Alan Doran and Ted Berner with Canice Grant adding a conversion and a penalty. Walsh kicked a late penalty to earn Crosshaven a replay.

The replay is in Crosshaven next week.
