Bray Wanderers fell further into trouble at the Carlisle Grounds last night as Derry City became the latest side to expose their defensive shortcomings.
The home side, who last tasted victory in October, fell behind right on half-time to a piece of magic from Liam Coyle. The Derry striker, from 30 yards out, needed no invitation as he unleashed a sweet shot to beat John Walsh with the help of the upright.
Bray, who have conceded a staggering 24 goals in their last eight Premier Division outings, endured a frustrating second half and even the introduction of home favourite Kieran O'Brien for the out of form Jason Byrne failed to improve the situation. Nonetheless, centre back Mick Doohan nearly marked a spectacular return to the club with a goal but his attempt was denied in the dying seconds.
