Sarsfields from Cork collected the All-Ireland Hurling sevens title on Saturday despite losing a man in the second half at the Kilmacud Crokes grounds in Glenalbyn.
There was very little between the two in the first half with Borrisokane midfielder Adrian Hogan contributing 2-4 to his side's total to leave the Premier county just two points at the interval.
Sarsfields, leading 2-8 to 2-6 going into the second half, got an early goal after the break through John Murphy and built on their lead through scores from Murphy and P J Flynn. Although they lost Donal ╙ SΘ after he committed a foul on Tadhg Slevin, Sarsfields held on after Borrisokane wasted some good chances.
