Camogie Championship:A stirring team display from Cork brought them a 0-11 to 1-5 victory over Tipperary in the Gala All-Ireland Senior A Championship on Saturday in Toomevara.

Cork found it tough against fellow Munster finalists Tipperary with a powerful goal from Clare Grogan from 20 metres seeing the home side lead by 1-4 to 0-6 at the interval but the competition was certainly fierce as the visiting side didn't have defeat on their minds especially in the second half.

Jennifer O'Leary and Síle Burns had each been on target with two points in the opening half with a point each for Una O'Donoghue and Angela Walsh also with Walsh's pointed free cutting the gap to the minimum by the interval.

Éimear McDonnell and Joanne Ryan continued to play well in the second half but Briege Corkery was in fine form for Cork after the restart, and she scored three points.
