SCHOOLS RUGBY/Leinster and Munster Cups/St Nessan's 0 PBC 29: Presentation Brothers, Cork, turned in an excellent second-half performance to cruise into the semi-final of the Munster Schools Senior Cup at Fitzgerald Park yesterday.

Backed by the strong breeze the Cork side led by only 12-0 at half-time.

Their second try came just on the interval which was a cruel blow for St Nessan's.

Prop forward Jason Cartin got both first-half tries for the Presentation side, the first of which replacement outhalf Jeff Power converted and Cartin might well have had a third early in the second half but was judged to have put a foot in touch.

St Nessan's, with Declan Cusack their main playmaker at outhalf, created a number of try scoring chances but they failed to capitalise.

In the second half PBC availed of a turnover on the St Nessan's line to move up field and grab another try by winger Sean McKeown.

They clinched their place in the semi-final when Power burst through for a try which he also converted.

And to make the day complete for the Cork boys, Shane Costigan polished off the challenge of the Limerick side with the final try of the game.
