DAMON HILL has warned his Williams team not to get complacent as he closes in on the world title. The Williams Renault driver flew into Budapest yesterday with a 21 point lead, knowing he could move to within one victory of the title if he wins this weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix.
The team will wrap up the constructors' championship this weekend if they get two more points.
But Hill warned: "It would be tempting to think it is sorted it's not. It's a very good position to be in and it's always better to be in front by 21 points but there are five races still to go, that's a considerable part of the championship, almost a third of the season.
Hill goes into the 12th round of the world championship with a comfortable lead after his victory in Germany two weeks ago.
A tight lipped Hill arrived in Hungary after a 10 day holiday with his family in the south of France and revealed he has held talks about his future with team manager Frank Williams.
"There is nothing new to say, have spoken to Frank, it is an on going discussion and things are going well, but it is not the main topic on my mind.
"I have one thing in my head and that is to win this race." Hill has yet to be re signed for next season and German Sauber driver Heinz Harald Frentzen is waiting in the wings.
