A well worked try four minutes before the interval put Clifden on the way to a place in the last-four stage as they overcame Gort CS in a tightly fought tie at the Monastery Field.
The home side took the lead when Paddy O'Toole landed a penalty. Then a fine back-line move was finished off by full back Robert Delaney. Gort had a deserved try after 54 minutes through David Monaghan, with Pat Whelan converting.
