GAELIC GAMES:Down make two changes for this weekend's Ulster senior football championship quarter-final against Monaghan in Newry. Dan McCartan and Paul Murphy are troubled by injury and their places are taken by John Clarke and Jack Lynch at corner back and centrefield respectively. Seán Moranreports.

Otherwise, the team that defeated Cavan in the first round replay is retained as Ross Carr and DJ Kane attempt to guide the county to a first Ulster final in four years and a first title since they were themselves playing in 1994.

Meanwhile, Derry's Paddy Bradley has again been left off the team to face Antrim in this weekend's postponed Ulster football championship match at Casement Park.

Bradley - currently in a disciplinary limbo after his suspension was lifted by the Disputes Resolution Authority and referred back to the county - would have been on the bench for last week's match as the charge relating to abuse of a match official hasn't been fixed for re-hearing.

There was no confirmation last night of whether the player would be again be available amongst the replacements, but otherwise the team is the same as was named for last week's match, which was rained off.

This means that there will be three championship newcomers: Cathal McKeever, Joe Diver, Raymond Wilkinson plus Michael McGoldrick who came on as a replacement last year.

Antrim manager Jody Gormley has also named an unchanged team for Sunday's match.

Carlow manager John Kearns hands championship debuts to no fewer than eight players in Sunday's Leinster SFC quarter-final against Offaly at O'Moore Park.

Christy Bolger, Mark Nolan, Evan Doyle and James Hickey come into defence, Gary Morrissey starts at centrefield and forwards Kieran Nolan, Derek Hayden and Paul Reid also make their first starts.

Stephen O'Neill and Gerard Cavlan have emerged as fresh injury doubts for Tyrone's Ulster semi-final with Donegal on Sunday week.

O'Neill has recovered from a hamstring injury, but is suffering from tendonitis in a knee. Cavlan also has a knee injury and neither player trained with the squad at Clogher last night.

The county could be facing an attacking crisis, having lost Tommy McGuigan and Niall Gormley to injury in club games at the weekend.

"Hopefully, he'll be able to cope with it, but long-term, it's a more manageable injury than the hamstring," said manager Mickey Harte of O'Neill's latest setback. "Gerard Cavlan has a knee problem as well, and there's a question mark over him as well."

The talented Raymond Mulgrew is, however, available again after missing the narrow win over Fermanagh through injury.
