LAOIS FOOTBALLERS have been dealt another major injury blow with the news that midfielder Pádraig Clancy has been ruled out for a month with ankle ligament damage.

Manager Liam Kearns confirmed Clancy went over on his ankle on Tuesday night and although a break was feared tests showed ligament damage which will sideline him for the next four weeks.

Laois face relegation to Division Two as they prepare for the trip to Donegal and Kearns now has a midfield crisis on his hands as he is already without Noel Garvan and Donal Miller, who will not return to training for at least three weeks.

Forwards Colm Parkinson and Barry Brennan will also miss the Donegal game with hamstring injuries.
