A good bit of this weekend's deluge of nonsense transfer revolved around Leeds boss Dave O'Leary who has reportedly got some £25 million to offload on players by next weekend's European transfer deadline.
Rio Ferdinand is supposed to be top of the Irishman's list, but after that it would probably be easier to list the players he's not linked with.
Rory Delap is said to be a £5 million target for Bryan Robson while under-21 international defender Brian McGovern has finally secured a transfer away from Arsenal with Norwich this week paying £50,000 to make his loan-deal permanent.
Other Irish lads caught up in the rumour mill include Shay Given, linked yet again with a return to Celtic (6-2!!!), and Stephen Carr - tipped for a move to Old Trafford.
Elsewhere Chelsea have been linked with Real's Savio, Middlesbrough (amongst others) with Steve McManaman, Manchester United with Ronald de Boer and Newcastle with Winston Bogarde.
