Broadcasting battle

It seems the clash between the Irish and French teams on the pitch at Lansdowne Road was mirrored by another scramble on the sidelines.

This time RTE television squared up to their French counterparts who apparently decided to pinch some of the Irish broadcaster's space in the lobby outside the dressing-rooms where the after-match flash interviews take place. A full and frank exchange of views followed as the French broadcasters were chastised for their presumptions.
