UL Eagles miss out on league title chance

BASKETBALL:An unpredictable weekend saw the top-three teams in the Men's SuperLeague lose.

A surprising loss by UCC Demons to Moycullen in Galway opened up the chance for the UL Eagles to claim the title. However, the defending champions let it slip through their fingers as they fell at home to UCD Marian.

Third-placed Bord Gáis Neptune were defeated at Neptune Stadium in Cork by last-placed Dublin Inter.
