Bray Wanderers 3 Cobh Ramblers 2: BRAY WANDERERS made sure of their place in the Premier Division next season when inspired by two early goals from Aidan O'Keeffe against Cobh Ramblers at the Carlisle Grounds last night. Cobh can avoid the drop but last night's result now makes it a mountain to climb. Cobh had an early chance only for Davin O'Neill to shoot straight at Alan Gough. Bray opened their account on 10 minutes when a Paddy Kavanagh cross was miscued by Andy Myler and the ball fell to O'Keeffe who scored past Anthony Fennelly.

Bray stretched their lead on 23 minutes when O'Keeffe fired home his second goal from 12 yards. Greg O'Halloran immediately pulled a goal back for Cobh and a minute later they equalised when a long free by John Meade was not cleared and O'Neill pounced. Cobh were unlucky not to go in front on 65 minutes when Colin O'Brien had a 20-yard effort pushed onto the crossbar by Gough. Bray went back in front when a cross by Gareth Coughlan was palmed out by Fennelly and Gary Cronin tapped home the rebound.

BRAY WANDERERS: Gough; Whelan, Foran (Robson, 74 mins), Doherty, Pender; Rowe, Tresson, Cawley, Kavanagh (Coughlan, 45 mins); O'Keeffe (Cronin 68), Myler.

COBH RAMBLERS: Fennelly; Coleman, Murray, Guthrie, J Meade, Carey (Kearney, 90 mins), O'Halloran, Gaynor, O'Brien, Mulconry; O'Brien (Cummins, 82 mins).
